Today has been one of those insanely positive days, woke up in a good mood, had a good meeting and the sun was shining.

Listening to my iPod this morning, I was genuinely really happy with music at the moment. I don’t get why people have been complaining that music is currently boring, there hasn’t been a week gone by this year that I haven’t been looking forward to an album release. Yes, some albums have been disappointing, namely Marina & The Diamonds, but I was still excited to see them released.

On that note, here are some more artists I am currently loving, some are new, some are not. As always, click on the band name to be linked to their sites.

1. Young Guns - I don’t think there is a British hard rock band doing better than these guys right now. They are gathering the same momentum Lostprophets picked up when they started their career.

2. Wiz Khalifa- One of XXL Mag’s 2010 Freshman stars. Catchy hip-hop at it’s finest!

3. Chasing Pluto - I don’t think I have ever listened to so many 1 minute previews of a song so much, reeeeeally looking forward to hearing more from these guys. Epic Pop Music! Click the title for link.

4. Futures - I may be biased towards these guys, but honestly I think they are going to make huge waves this year. Just given away their album free with Rock Sound magazine. This is mature pop rock with stadium sized choruses.

5. Foxy Shazam- I have been into these guys for awhile, they aren’t exactly new to music but they are new to the UK. Imagine Freddie Mercury fronting Glassjaw, with a piano. Exactly.

I am still really loving the new Drake and Gorillaz as well, but have written about them before.
