SLAMMIN!

Chasing Pluto - Hold On. I must’ve heard this songs about 50 times in the last month, never gets boring!
I haven’t written about anything of interest for ages - mainly because I took some time off for 2 weeks, and partly because I have been lazy.
The new video for Giggs - Look What The Cat Dragged In is out.
Also there is a shit load of wicked new hip hop for people to get there ears into.
Big Boi - Shutterbug - new song from Big Boi, featuring the catchiest hook since that Annie Lennox song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EskNUvmcWOQ
B.O.B ft. Hayley Williams & Eminem - Airplane Pt. 2 - don’t think anyone could have imagined this in a million years. B.O.B is going to blow up this year, and this song features Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Eminem doing his thang. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM8O78RA0_U
Nas & Damian Marley ft. Dennis Brown - Land of Promise - whilst As We Enter is still the best song released this year hands down, this new track from the much anticipated Distant Relatives album does a sweet job of showing of Jr Gong’s side.

Spring is always good for TV shows, new or recurring.
The Pacific has been “the one” in terms of hype and budget. Produced by Mr Spielberg and Mr Hanks (aka tour de force Band of Brothers) it is a mega budget mini series about the American involvement in the Pacific theatre of operations during WW2. Very Hollywood, very well shot and it is looking like it follow the excellent example set by BoB in terms of storyline and cinematography.
I’m currently 2 episodes in at time of writing.

How To Make It In America is a new HBO show from the makers of Entourage that has just kicked off stateside. Set in New York it features an ensemble cast that includes rapper Kid Cudi. I’m currently 2 episodes in and so far, the storyline has, whilst being a little lacklustre and unbelievable, it completely made me want to live in New York. The show basically follows 4/5 20’ somethings on their day to day life in post graduate America.

30 Rock is still the best thing on TV right now. It’s currently on its 4th season in the US and is getting better and better with age. I have a band performing on Jonathan Ross next Thursday, and Tina Fey is on the show, so I am unbelievably looking forward to meeting her.

Also coming soon are new True Blood, Glee and a little further down the line, a 4th season of Mad Men. Winner!

Deans List - Pop/Rap group from Boston, MAS.
Not entirely blown away by them yet, there are better rap collectives out there, particularly Chiddy Bang.
Kano - Bit late on this one, but Kano released a mixtape last week called Jack Bauer: The 7 Day Edition. Simply put it’s amazing. Kano has one of the best flows in the UK and his metaphors are unreal.
